Make Engaging, Educational Games for Kids!

Why do we make games?

Jan Silver’s Philosophy

on learning through educational games has been DCTMI’s core inspiration for our Game-Making Workshops. Jan (a DCTMI community partner, ex-teacher and current tutor) has spent over 20 years teaching and developing her expertise in tutoring and has created games to engage the hundreds of students she’s worked with. Her attitude embodies joyful, active learning, and has driven our current model for making games!

Jan has created dozens of original games and has also modified familiar games like UNO and Jeopardy to support interactive, engaged learning in subjects like Math, English, Science, and so much more!
